What does bridal makeup cost in Punjab in 2026? An honest guide to what you're paying for
Typical bridal makeup price ranges in India and Punjab, what moves a quote up or down, what should be included, and the red flags in a cheap — or an expensive — quote.

Price is the question every bride wants to ask first and feels awkward asking. So here is the honest version: what the ranges look like, what actually drives the number, and what should always be in it.
The ranges, broadly
Wedding-industry guides for India in 2026 describe four tiers for the wedding day (bride only):
- Entry: roughly ₹8,000–₹25,000
- Mid-range HD: roughly ₹25,000–₹60,000
- Premium (airbrush, multi-event, full team): roughly ₹60,000–₹1.5 lakh
- Celebrity-tier: ₹1.5 lakh and up
Big metros sit higher; Punjab’s cities — Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Chandigarh — tend to sit in the lower-middle of the national ranges for comparable quality. These are market observations, not our rate card: our quotes are written for your specific events, and we send them on WhatsApp.
What actually moves the number
- Number of events. The wedding day is the anchor; engagement, sangeet, mehndi and reception are each priced lower, and a multi-event package is cheaper per event than booking one by one.
- Technique. Airbrush usually costs more than HD because of equipment, products and time.
- Team size. A lead artist plus hair, draping and an assistant costs more than a solo artist — and finishes a bride and her family on time.
- Hair and draping. Included by some, extra with others. Ask.
- Trial. Included, chargeable, or adjusted against the booking — all three exist.
- Travel. Within the artist’s city is often free; other cities are a line item; destination weddings include travel and stay.
- Season and day. Peak dates (November–February, April–May weekends, muhurat days) book out and sometimes cost more.
What should always be included
- A trial, with the same artist who does the day.
- Skin prep, base, eyes, lashes, lips, contour.
- A clear statement on hair and draping — in or out.
- A touch-up kit.
- Written terms: advance, balance, cancellation, arrival time.
Red flags in a cheap quote
No trial. No written quote. One artist for a bride plus family on a 5 am start. “We’ll decide the products on the day.” A price that changes once you have paid the advance.
Red flags in an expensive quote
Vague inclusions. A famous name who sends an assistant on the day. A trial charged at full price with nothing adjusted. Travel and “team charges” that appear after the fact.
How to compare two quotes properly
Line them up item by item: events, technique, hair, draping, trial, team size, travel, standby artist. Two quotes that differ by ₹15,000 often differ by a hair stylist, a trial and a second artist — which is to say, by a calm morning versus a stressful one.
Our approach
Every quote we send is written, itemised and specific to your events and city. Hair, draping and the trial are included with bridal bookings; family and travel are clear separate lines; nothing changes after the advance. Ask for yours on WhatsApp — it takes five minutes and there is no pressure.
Questions brides ask about this
What is a typical bridal makeup price in Punjab?
Industry guides put most mid-range HD bridal bookings in India between roughly ₹25,000 and ₹60,000 for the wedding day, with premium airbrush and multi-event packages above that. Punjab tier-2 cities tend to sit towards the lower-middle of national ranges. Always ask for a written, itemised quote.
Is hair included in bridal makeup prices?
Often not — hair and draping are the two items most commonly quoted separately. Ask specifically.
Should I pay an advance?
Yes, a fixed advance is normal and protects your date. Get a written confirmation of the date, time and what is included when you pay it.
